Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs)
BE Energy guides you through the EPC process, ensuring compliance and clarity on energy performance. Using SAP, our accredited assessors evaluate construction, heating, insulation, and glazing to rate buildings on the A–G scale. Each certificate includes tailored recommendations to improve efficiency, cut costs, and boost property appeal while meeting requirements.

As Designed Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) Calculations - Part L
BE Energy provides As-Designed SAP calculations during the design stage to demonstrate Part L compliance. We model insulation, heating, glazing, and renewables, helping architects and developers optimise energy efficiency, streamline approvals, and reduce risks before construction begins.

As Built Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) Calculations - Part L
At build completion, BE Energy conducts As-Built SAP assessments to verify energy performance matches design intent. Our accredited assessors confirm compliance, incorporate any specification changes, and produce the EPC required for handover, ensuring dwellings meet regulatory standards.

Building Regulation England (BREL) Reports
BE Energy delivers As-Designed and As-Built BREL reports for new builds, ensuring compliance with the 2023 Approved Document L. Our assessments predict and verify energy performance, supporting regulatory requirements and enabling the issue of a valid Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).

BE Energy, in partnership with White and Eddy, provides BREL photography to evidence compliance with Part L regulations. Our service captures key construction details on-site, ensuring accurate As-Built reporting and supporting smooth approval for Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs).

Excess Glazing Calculations
BE Energy provides SAP calculations for overglazed extensions, where glazing exceeds 25% of floor area. Our assessments demonstrate compliance with Part L, modelling heat loss and solar gain while offering practical design solutions to maintain efficiency and meet building regulations.

Part O - Simplified Thermal Modelling
BE Energy’s Simplified Thermal Modelling evaluates new dwellings for overheating risks using basic factors such as glazing, ventilation, and layout. This assessment identifies potential issues early in the design phase, producing a report suitable for planning submissions and ensuring compliance with Part O regulations.

Part O - Dynamic Thermal modelling
For complex or higher-risk designs, BE Energy provides Dynamic Thermal Modelling. This detailed 3D analysis simulates a building’s thermal performance under varying conditions, offering precise insights and tailored solutions to prevent overheating, optimise comfort, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Passivhaus Calculations
In collaboration with our sister company's certified Passivhaus designers, we provide PHPP calculations and expert guidance to help projects meet the rigorous Passivhaus standard. We collaborate closely with accredited certifiers, ensuring designs achieve outstanding thermal performance, comfort, and energy efficiency... all from our own Passivhaus office!

Self Builders
Our accredited assessors provide energy evaluations for all domestic building types, including new builds, conversions, and extensions. Using SAP methods, we produce legally required Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for properties that are newly built. Working closely with architects and designers, we help embed energy efficiency into projects from the very beginning.

Architects and Developers
BE Energy delivers a range of energy assessments for all building types, using SAP and SBEM to produce EPCs. Services cover design and as-built stages for new builds, extensions, and conversions, with tailored efficiency guidance. We also provide Energy Statements, thermal bridging (psi) calculations, and Part O overheating assessments, including Dynamic Thermal Modelling where necessary.
